Lactation Consultation Services
I provide personalized lactation consultation and breastfeeding support for families in Pasadena and throughout the Los Angeles area. Whether you are experiencing breastfeeding challenges or simply want reassurance that feeding is going well, lactation support can help you feel more confident and comfortable in your feeding journey.
Initial In-Home Lactation Consultation — $350
A private in-home lactation consultation is a great option if you are experiencing challenges such as:
• nipple or breast pain during breastfeeding
• difficulty with latch or positioning
• baby fussiness at the breast
• concerns about milk supply
• supplementing with expressed milk or formula
• concerns about tongue tie or lip tie
• pumping questions or returning to work
• uncertainty about newborn feeding patterns
During an in-home consultation, I meet with you and your baby in the comfort of your home so we can fully assess feeding in a relaxed environment.
Appointments typically last 1.5–2 hours and include:
• a detailed health and breastfeeding history
• observation of a feeding at the breast
• guidance on latch and positioning adjustments
• tongue and lip tie assessment
• feeding weight checks using a hospital-grade infant scale
Together we create a personalized feeding plan designed to help you reach your breastfeeding goals and feel confident supporting your baby’s feeding needs.
If you are unsure whether this service is the right fit for your family, please reach out to me directly to schedule a complimentary phone consultation to discuss your concerns before booking.
In-Home Follow-Up Consultation — $300
Follow-up appointments are helpful when breastfeeding concerns are still ongoing or when new questions arise after our initial visit.
Families often schedule follow-ups if they are experiencing:
• continued breastfeeding pain
• baby fussiness during feeds
• concerns about milk supply
• questions about pumping or returning to work
• changes in baby’s feeding behavior
A follow-up consultation can provide reassurance that feeding is progressing well and offers an opportunity to refine your feeding plan as your baby grows. These appointments are also a great time to discuss long-term feeding goals, including pumping routines, bottle introduction, and returning to work.
Virtual Lactation Consultation — $230
Virtual consultations are available via Zoom and can be scheduled regardless of your location. These sessions are a convenient option if an in-home appointment is not possible.
Virtual consultations typically last 60–90 minutes and include:
• a review of your health and breastfeeding history
• observation of a feeding when possible
• guidance on achieving a comfortable, effective latch
• strategies to improve milk transfer and feeding efficiency
• a personalized feeding plan to support your goals
Virtual consultations also provide an excellent opportunity to discuss:
• pumping strategies and milk supply
• returning to work while breastfeeding
• bottle feeding guidance
• introducing solid foods
Each virtual consultation includes one week of follow-up support via email or phone if additional questions arise.
Insurance & Payment Information
After each appointment, families receive a Superbill receipt that can be submitted to their insurance provider for possible reimbursement if lactation support is covered under their health plan.
Sliding Scale Support
I believe breastfeeding support should be accessible to all families. Sliding scale pricing is available for families who may benefit from financial assistance. If the listed fees feel like a barrier, please feel free to reach out to discuss available options.
