My passion for working with families and breastfeeding dyads was discovered while living abroad in Ghana and Haiti, where I worked in several schools and clinics. After completing a Bachelors degree in International Development at the University of Guelph, I graduated from the Lactation Medicine Program at the Jack Newman International Breastfeeding Centre in Toronto Canada in 2015 (www.ibconline.ca). This involved completing over 600 hours of hands on breastfeeding support + 90 hours of Lactation Specific Education. In 2016, I became a Board Certified Lactation Consultant, this professional designation requires successfully passing the IBLCE certification exam, completing the required education in health sciences, human lactation and breastfeeding as well as significant in clinic experience. See the IBLCE website for additional information www.iblcec.org
Currently I have a private practice in Pasadena, CA and work with families throughout Los Angeles and the surrounding area.
Breastfeeding often comes with unexpected challenges. Helping families and breastfeeding dyads remains an ongoing passion in my life, and my goal is to make your breastfeeding experience more enjoyable. I am confident that whatever challenges there may be, we can navigate them together.
